Wanna Make God laugh? Just tell Him your plans.....

So yeah- we moved back to Fargo, North Dakota. There were no jobs in California. If you're surprised to hear that then you're not paying attention to the world around you..lol

So...after the unemployment checks stopped coming we decided we could move to an economy that was thriving in hopes of a better, stable future or we could continue to live off our friends, church, and family. We chose hope.

To all of you that have helped provide for us- there are no words or actions that can describe our complete gratitude- but thank you. The best way we feel we can show we are thankful is to have some success, and pay it forward. So that's our goal...

Levi has his first job interview in over a year on Monday at Northern Pipe- they make, well...pipe! You know- the kind your water comes through etc...and yes- some things are STILL made in the great US of A! It's a job in the factory, and honestly we couldn't be happier and more hopeful. It's an honest, hard working job that pays. And then, we'll go from there. We are getting a fourth chance here (we've used up a lot of chances) but this time we are coming with more knowledge, strength, and most importantly more (way more) faith in our God. It's amazing how we fight and fight to do things our way because we "know" what is best, when giving it up to God is all we are suppose to do and he'll take care of the rest! I mean, serious- how hard can that be?! Well, it's hard and a lesson we will always learn I'm sure. But despite our stubbornness, pride, greed, and everything else- we have been cared for and loved. We also have been very humbled.

We have learned (although we claimed to already know this lol) that's it is really not about us. Or me. Or you. It's not about rank in the military, what job is good enough for you (or not), or any labels we tend to put on certain people or careers. It's about glorifying our God no matter where He puts us (or ,where we put ourselves because we're too stubborn to listen to God). It's about humbly giving thanks, appreciating, learning, and praising.

So here we are, in Fargo. Are we going to stay here? I don't know. Are we going to move in another year? I don't know. Are we having more kids (this seems to be an ongoing question)? I don't know. Are we going to praise God, study His Word, and be thankful for His abundance of blessings, His provision, guidance, and grace? Yes, with all we have in us.
