Lately, Ayden has been talking more and showing us his most surely has his own opinion, likes and dislikes! Normally having a window into his heart make me miss the time when he was all mine...when he liked what I liked, etc...but not this time! Tonight, he did something so simple, yet so touching. Let me tell you:
For the past month or so Ayden has been totally into cars. whenever he saw one, he would yell out "Car car" and laugh. This proved to be helpful when we needed to get into our "real" car. Noticing his excitement about cars, we bought some hotwheels for him not thinking too much. Those cars quickly replaced his once magical "night night" (blanket). Soon his cars went EVERYWHERE with him. the cars went to bed, to the dinner table, to church, and even the bath. He always knows where every last one of his cars is hiding. We obviously noticed his didn't just like these cars, he loved them. one night we rented the movie "cars" and of course, he LOVED IT!!!!! He didn't move for the entire movie, and he next morning woke up saying "cars." Well, the movie had to go back to the store eventually, so after about a month we returned the movie thinking he would just forget about it soon enough.
Well- he didn't forget about the movie cars, and has begged and even cried for the movie everyday! Yesterday he got sick, and all he wanted was to lay on the couch, eat his popsicle and watch cars. Today, he even asked for cars singing "please" over and over with the huge eye swelling tears. At this point, I couldn't handle it anymore or say no one more time. So Levi ran out to target and we purchased the move..and even one of the Lighting Mcqueen toy cars.
Well- the lighting Mcqueen is Aydens new best friend. At dinner tonight- we all sat down and held out our hands to pray. Ayden, who always puts his hands in ours, grabbed his best friend and put him in Levi's hand, then put his hand on Mcqueens (who was in Dads hand). When we were done praying, Ayden said Amen for him ,and lighting Mcqueen. Throughout dinner Ayden would feed his best friend, and even give him kisses!
I hope that when Ayden grows up to have friends of the human variety, he too will pray with them..feed them when they're hungry and love them.

That was so totally cute! I love it! Daniel loved cars too! Nathan is actually getting into them now--pushing them around and making the "vroom-vroom" sound. So cute, I love that story.
I hope you guys are doing good!
